The performance of a computer may reduce over time due to many reasons. Both corrupt registry entries and system crashes are the most likely causes of performance reductions. This reduction in performance may severely interfere with getting work done. There are some steps you can take though to fix slow computer performance.
In order to better understand this problem it is better to explore the causes. The main cause is the windows registry. The registry contains information about program settings and user preferences which are required by the operating system. The typical registry errors maybe caused by the following:
Corrupt active x objects.
Browser objects which are unnecessary.
Items in the start menu which are unused or obsolete.
Obsolete DLL (Dynamic Link Library) files.
Obsolete shared folders.
Partially installed software.
Unnecessary or outdated drivers.
Unnecessary fonts and files associations.

A system and registry scanner is the best solution to your registry woes. However a proper registry scanner must be selected for a slow running computer. This removes corrupted registry entries. However a simple registry cleaner may confuse proper entries with corrupted ones and remove proper entries, further damaging your system. This is why you should use a system and registry scanner which can identify updates files and registry entries to improve slow computer performance.
There are also other errors other than registry errors. Slow shut down or failure to shut down is one. This may be due to the shutdown procedure having errors within it, corrupt registry entries or faulty drivers. This is an issue which needs to be dealt quickly as improper shutdown may lead to the loss of valuable data and file and registry corruption.
The windows stop error in another common problem in windows. When this happens an error message will notify you with the location of the error with a unique code attributed to that error. Stop errors maybe experienced due to applications which are malfunctioning, issues with the random access memory and file errors are other probable causes of stop errors. In order for the system to perform at its optimum level the errors should be identified and then eliminated to stop your computer running slow.
The easiest way to fix all these errors is with a system and registry scanner. Instead of spending days looking for the cause of the problem you can fix it in minutes. All you need to do is to scan it with a system and registry scanner to fix all these errors and others you are not even aware of to improve slow computer performance.
