Speed Up Computer—The Specific Methods To Speed Up Computer Efficiently

When talking about how to speed up computer, most users may think about using anti-virus software firstly. If there is no any virus in the computer, what will you do to speed up computer? Well, this is what I want to tell you in this article that you can turn to some specific methods to solve slow computer problems.
Although your computer is still working well, it is worthwhile for you reading this article, because there are many ways to speed up computer that you may not know before.
You can forbid the idle IDE channels. Right-click “My Computer” and choose “Properties”—”Hardware”—”Device Manager”, and open “IDE ATA/PATA controllers”. Then you can enter into primary IDE channel and secondary IDE channel respectively. In the “Advanced Settings” tab, you can choose “Not Applicable” in the “Current Transfer Mode”. This method may seem rather professional for you, but you can learn that it is also a way to speed up computer.
In “My Computer”—”Properties”—”Advanced”, click “Settings” in the “Startup and Recovery” and cross out “Write an event to the system log”, “Send an administrative alert” and “Automatically restart” and set “none” in the “Write debugging information”. It is wise for you to disable error reporting. As for “Error Reporting”, in “My Computer”—”Properties”—”Advanced”, click “Error reporting” to choose “Disable error reporting” and tick “But notify me when critical errors occur” and then click “OK”. By forbidding these functions, it is also helpful for you to improve computer speed.
Close down “Automatic Updates” function. In the “My Computer”—”Properties”—”Automatic Updates”, you can choose “Turn off Automatic Updates” so that you can update computer manually. And you can turn off “Remote Desktop”. Right-click “My Computer” and click “Properties”—”Remote”. In this tab, you can cross out “Allow users to connect remotely to this computer”.
And then you can optimize visual effects. Right-click “My Computer” and choose “Properties”—”Advanced”. In the “Performance” column, click “Settings”—”Visual Effects” and adjust it as best performance or just keep some necessary items.
Besides that, close down the function of “Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server”. Click “Start”—”Control Panel”—”Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options”—”Date and Time”. In the “Internet Time” tab, you can cancel “Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server”. Or you are supposed to forbid using excessive serving components. Right-click “My Computer”—”Manage”—”Services and Applications”, in the right windows, you can set the unnecessary service as disable or manual.
This is a very important step to speed up computer. Windows registry is just like a database which stores all the computer information. Every time you install a program, save a files or install a new driver on your computer, the registry keeps a record which called entry, these entries will be left in the registry even the related programs/files/drivers/ were removed thus make them obsolete even corrupted. That is the biggest reason for a slow running computer, if you keep ignoring these wasted entries, error messages might pop up from time to time and even crash your computer eventually.
If you feel like your computer is slowing down, go try the above steps which will definitely speed up computer, no need to reinstall the system or calling a technician, registry cleaner will help you clean the computer regularly and make it perform like new.
All the methods mentioned above can speed up computer, though you have not heard of some of them. If you are not quite sure about the methods, it is advisable for you to remember all the changes you have done in case of any accident. By doing this, you can solve slow computer speed and protect computer as well.
