Though the definition of what a registry does is still not clear to many computer users, it is in fact one of the major causes for a slow computer. All Windows based computers use a registry based database. It stores all the keys for both software and hardware. It is also responsible for keeping the relationship between the software and hardware intact nd you need to get rid of problems in there for a slow computer fix.
The registry is a huge storage area and it stores all the necessary information needed to run the programs, the hardware and everything else. So it is basically, the operating system. It also serves as the dumping ground for bits of trash.
When you install and uninstall various programs, the invalid keys left by these programs are stored in the registry. This is the reason why a faulty registry makes a computer run slower than usual. Other causes of a faulty registry can come from what you do on the web, be it just plain surfing or downloading or even watching Youtube videos. It is a storage area but it also stores the unnecessary stuff too.

Since the computer uses the registry to locate information to run programs, a faulty registry makes it difficult because it has to go through invalid keys.
The symptoms of a faulty registry are clear and very irritating. When you open a program, it will take longer to load. Even a simple Solitaire game can load slowly due to a faulty registry. You would also frequently experience hang-ups or freezing. The worst that you could possibly experience are frequent crashes and then to prevent this you need a slow computer fix.
Another culprit that may be causing your computer to act up has something to do with installed programs. Installing a program is rather easy, just a few clicks and you’re good to go. But did you check whether these programs are compatible for your computer? Some programs are already obsolete and need to be updated now and then so that the computer won’t have a hard time locating and running these programs.
Of course, when there’s a problem there is a solution. You just need to clean and fix registry errors to make it function properly again. Though it can be cleaned manually, it is not recommended because of the risks involved. It is better to download a system and registry scanner. It will scan for errors, fix it and clean and if the errors are caused by malware this will remove them for you and give you a slow computer fix.
