Hi,
My HP DVD Burner used to only take 5-8 minutes to burn up to a whole DVD, but now it is taking an hour. I don’t know what happened, one day it just started burning really slowly. That, however is not the only problem. When trying to burn a DVD/CD the whole computer also slows down (no matter what program I use). So If I’m listening to music it will literally slow down, screwing the sound up. When playing a game that is dependent on a CD, it also screws up again, slowing down when movies are being played (again mainly the sound). The problem occurs whenever the computer tries to access anything through the DVD Burner.
It’s becoming annoying as to burn something it takes an hour and in that hour I can’t do anything else as the computer slows down.
The problem actually went away when I reformatted the computer but recently it has come back and I honestly do not want to reformat the whole thing again.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.

I just tried the defragmentation, however that did not much. The burning still takes a long time. Any other ideas?
