yes having a lot of pictures can slow down your computer
Only if you use up all your hard disk space, or if you have them all open at the same time – basically your computer runs witrh various resources/systems (hard drive space, RAM, processor) – if any one of these gets full it causes your computer to slow down. With modern picture file sizes and hard disk space, I wouldn’t worry too much. You can check how much hard disk space you have left by opening “My computer”, right clicking on the C drive, and choosing properties. You should see plenty of free space.
Loading down your computer memory with anything can make your PC slow down, However most computers nave a data compressor which may help, or try burning the pictures to disc, and then delete them off the hard drive. You still have them and your computers got room to breathe.
if ur hdd full then it will slow down ur computer.. not only pictures but any kind of data..Hdd full then it will slow down your computer
Your computer’s speed depends on different factors. These include processor speed, RAM capacity, hard drive space, and others.
If you’re concerned about your PC slowing down due to accumulating picture files, I hope the link below could help. According to the link, an average pc will need about 800MB of FREE hard drive space to work smoothly. =)
1. pictures or any thing in computer is measured in mega bytes (mb) of data
2. Your system will be slow when u have used up 80- 90% of your diskspace
3. Take backup of all unused or unwanted data time to time and cleanup / empty trash / delete temporary internet files / uninstall unused programs and this keeps a check on your disk space available
….its won’t slow down urs computer speed…provided ya have standard 80 GB of HD , 512 MB of Ram…and Pentium 4 2.66 GHz..
its a good idea..if ya zip all ur high-resolution picture…use any of the zip utility like Winzip or PowerArchiver…
um,yeah.but if you want to check how much memory you have:
1.go to my computer.
2.on the bar that has the buttons “back”&”go” click the one that says folders, usually next to the search button.
4.right click on the folder that says “Local Disk C”
5.then click on the last one Properties
6. a screen should come up saying how much space you have used up & how much you have left(the pie graph tells you)
yes it would depending on your computer you could add a hardrive and it would take care of the problem
No it depends upon your hard disks free space
