As everyone knows, buying, owning, and upkeep of a PC is not a cheap venture.   Everyone also knows that, no matter how good of care you take of your PC, over time and with consistent use, slowing and lagging are unavoidable.   So here are some tips on how to fix your slow computer for free (and keep it running smoothly forever after!) Windows Cleanup A Windows cleanup isn’t a singular utility, more like making use of many system tools in a step-by-step process that leaves your Windows system and hard drive clean and organized. To start, perform a Disk Cleanup. Go to the Start menu and select All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup. The scan will take a few minutes, and when it is complete, another window will pop up showing you the list of files to delete and compress. Select OK. Next, perform a Disk Check and SFC Scan.   These two scans perform similar functions – scanning for, locating, and correcting errors.   Disk Check does this to the hard drive while the SFC is performed on system files. To utilize these two scans: Go to Start > Run > “CHKDSK” and Start > Run > “SFC /SCANNOW”. Both scans take several minutes to complete, but require no interaction. Last, but certainly not least, do a Disk Defragment. Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragment. The utility first analyzes file configurations within the hard drive, defragments files, and then compacts contiguous files. Delete Internet Files In the Control Panel, select Internet Options. Delete temporary files and cookies to clear up disk space. Also, going to the Start menu and select Search Select All Files and Folders and type “. tmp” and search. Delete all temp files your computer. When you’re done, empty the recycle bin. Resize Internet Cache Open Internet Explorer. Go to Tools and select Internet Options. Select General, then Settings and set the existing size to 50Meg. Back to the General tab, select Delete Files to delete existing cache files and clear file space. Update Windows Patches To start, do a Windows Update on your PC. Go to the Start menu, All Programs, Accessories, and in System Tools, select the Windows Update option. Make sure you get all available security updates. To make sure automatic updates are on, go to your Control Panel, select Performance and Maintenance Go to System and make sure the Automatic Updates tab is selected All of these free options will help you optimize your PC and keep it running smoothly thereafter with monthly utilization of these simple tricks.   It just goes to show that with a little skill and effort, keeping up your PC doesn’t always have to be costly.   Try these steps and then maintain with an advanced registry cleaning tool.   The need to fix your slow computer will become a thing of the past.

Optimize-Your-PC, with its Advanced Registry Cleaning Technology, will fix your slow computer all in under 2 Minutes.
